This is a program of a musical performance entitled “Center State With Black Music from B.B. King to Leontyne Price” that took place on August 27, 1995 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Part III was entitled “1920’s and 1930’S REFLECTIONS OF RAGTIME”.

The selection, “When You’re Smiling” was popularized by Louis Armstrong. Sweet Willie Singleton was the featured jazz trumpet soloist and vocalist.
