Although Sweet Willie Singleton is best known for his exemplary lead trumpet playing throughout his 55 year career, he is also a very capable jazz trumpet and flugelhorn soloist as well. This is his recording entitled, “Bluellespie” where he performs ten BeBop jazz standards with his sextet, “Sweet Willie & His Gentleman of Jazz”. This is the first of a series also titled “BeBopish” Volume 1.
